** NEWSFLASH!! IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!! **
Due to personal circumstances, I have made the difficult decision to scale down the Biro Buddies service. I am sorry to have to do this, but I am sadly unable to devote the time needed to provide the range of services BB has done up until now - illness is a major factor in this, I am sad to admit that since suffering from depression I lost interest in penpalling and have now started other activites which mean I am now not able to run the club as I once did. I am myself now back into penpalling again, slowly but it's there, and I am once again beginning to enjoy the buzz of getting a handwritten letter in the post instead of the usual junk and bills!!
However, I will still be providing a basic service where you can fill out a quick application form and send it in to me at the BB HQ and I will happily match you with suitable penpals - it just means the end of the newsletters and membership packs that were previously issued. You can now also post penpal request directly onto the site - PLEASE use your discretion for what you post, I know most of you wouldn't, but I strongly recommend that you DO NOT post your address details on site, I would instead suggest you leave an email address and exhcnage a couple of emails with any potential penpals to feel safe before you go ahead and exchange addresses with people - be safe, be wary, it's not over cautious, it's common sense.
BB now has a Facebook page too, you can find us on there by searching for BIRO BUDDIES LADIES ONLY PENPALS - please join the page and you can also leave your penpal requests on there now too!
I hope you will all both understand and respect this decision, it wasn't easy, but I think it will be for the best - there are now new ways you can find penpals as well as through myself and the trusty BB database, so I feel this will be a welcome new feature to an already successful venture - not bad to say it was my brainwave! Hehe. May I take this opportunity to thank you all for the love and support you have all shown towards me and the whole BB adventure - and I really hope you will stick with us in our new beginning!!

You've just found a fab website dedicated to the art of penpalling - whether you're new to it all and not sure where to start, or an experienced penpaller looking for new people to write to, BIRO BUDDIES is on hand to help...
I'm Lisa (you can view my mugshot on the comments below if you're curious! Or click on my photo to read my profile) and I'm the brains (hmmm .. not sure that's quite the word for me!!) behind the club. I toyed with the idea of setting up a club of my own for some time before I went full steam ahead with it, and I've been really taken back at just how successful it has proved to be with everyone - if you are wanting to know more please click the 'about the club' link found in the top left corner.
Due to the site being virtually wiped once out at the hands of someone else, I have sadly had to take the decision to make it a now restricted zone where only invited people will be allowed to make contributions to the site if they wish to do so - whilst I am sorry about this, I will NOT allow some ignorant so and so to wreck what I have worked hard to create for a second time, so there really was no alternative. However, anyone will be able to leave comments but anything offensive or abusive will be removed by my fair hands quicksmart and, if the culprit is a registered user, they will be blocked from returning to our site - if they are an anonymous user then their entries will just keep on being deleted until they get the message or get bored - whichever happens first!
Please enjoy ... and as always, your comments, feedback and suggestions are very welcome - don't be shy!! If you like what you see then tell your friends about us, if you don't then please tell me!!
